Norway Expels 15 Russian Diplomats Suspected of Espionage

The Norwegian government announced on Thursday the expulsion of 15 Russian diplomats from the country, citing suspicions of espionage while working at the Russian Embassy in Oslo. Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt stated that the move was intended to counter and reduce the scope of Russian intelligence activities in Norway, thereby protecting the country's national interests.

The expelled diplomats, declared persona non grata, must leave Norway promptly. Additionally, the government will not issue visas to intelligence officers applying to enter the country. Despite these expulsions, Oslo wishes to maintain normal diplomatic relations with Russia, welcoming Russian diplomats to Norway.

In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry declared that Moscow would retaliate in kind to Norway's actions. This decision comes after Norway expelled three Russian diplomats identified as intelligence officers just a year ago, as well as the arrest of a man believed to be working for Russian intelligence under a false identity. Interesting comments. Certainly Russian spies need to be expelled from the US. But also, I can’t help thinking that Russians in the west have a clearer view of the evil that Putin is by not consuming only Russian propaganda. Hopefully we are also using diplomacy to encourage a peaceful withdrawal and regime change. Lofty goals, but it could happen.

Meaning what exactly?

Roll the dice on literally destroying our only habitat?

Yet another US coup? They've worked so well in the past right?

Perhaps another Vietnam or Iraq war?

I don't have the answer, I just hate knee jerk, rah rah America BS comments.

Ignorance has been stigmatized and it's a huge problem that needs to be fixed. "I don't know" should be the default position of everyone about everything. Unfortunately, I don't think most people know the difference between being ignorant, or being an idiot.

I think all the personnel in the D.C. Russian Embassy should be arrested and charged with espionage. Then, the Russian Embassy should be thoroughly shaken down from top to bottom. Then when the Rooskeys protest, tell them if you don't like it, suck on it until you do!

After all the Savagery and war Crimes as well as misleading propaganda Russia has proven that they cannot be trusted, dont honour any agreements and have no respect for International Law. There is no reason to have their diplomats in any civilized country. Its like having a North Korean Embassy locally. Just far worse. The free world is waking up this fact and we should never again trust these bastards

It's obvious that nobody is safe in Russia. Every one of our allies need to get their people out as well as throw the Russian "diplomats" out of their countries. Wiser heads may not agree. That's just my reaction to this.

That's quite the trip to take, but as they usually have nothing to say except threathen us with more imaginary actions it would actually be a valid idea. No need to worry about the barge getting loose and start drifting in an unvanted direction.
